January 4th of 2014 the New York Baroque Dance Company started the year off with an amazing and extremely unique performance at the Allentown Art Museum in Pennsylvania. I had the wonderful opportunity of premiering a costume by Jane Stein (you must check out her amazing website!!). Based off of a performance in the 1640’s for King Louis XIV’s 7th birthday, it was brought to life by the Master of Ceremonies, a two-faced juggler, Scaramouche and myself as the exotic ostrich! Come learn the Canary – Class at MMDG Dec 7
I will be teaching at Mark Morris Dance Center for the NY Baroque Dance Co. on Dec 7 from 3-4:30pm. Save the date! We will be exploring the Old Canary and talking about its connection to the Italian Renaissance form. New to Baroque dance or a regular to our classes? These are great explorations for musicians, actors and dancers/dance enthusiasts alike! It is also going to be paired with the New Canary class in January!
